Swalecliffe & District Target Shooting Club

Welcome to the official website of the Swalecliffe & District Target Shooting Club

Situated close to the railway station in Herne Bay, Kent, the Club buildings consist of a club room, a gun room, an indoor 25 yard live fire range, two indoor 10 metre air rifle and air pistol ranges, and an outdoor 50 metre live fire range. The Club has facilities for disabled shooters and currently runs a special session for members of the Royal British Legion.

25yd Range refurb

The indoor 25 yard range, shown left, has 4 firing points which can be used for 0.22 in. and 0.38 in. calibre rifles for prone, standing, kneeling, and bench rest shooting. Higher power air rifles can also be used here.

air weapons range 1

The two indoor 10 metre ranges, each with 5 firing points, are for air rifles and air pistols only. Primarily for shooting in the standing position, they can also be used for bench rest shooting. The range shown right has target changing facilities meaning that shooters can examine or change their targets at will from the firing point, thus removing the need to wait until all shooters have made their rifles/pistols safe before going forward to change targets.

50m Range

The 50 metre outdoor range, shown left, has 6 under-cover firing points and is primarily used for all disciplines of 0.22 in. live fire but can also be used with higher powered air rifles.
